Cannot create an OCI Compute Instance: InternalError - Out Of Host Capacity

Cannot create an OCI Compute Instance: InternalError - Out Of Host Capacity When an instance is created by using an API call or from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) console, this error message is displayed: “InternalError. Out of host capacity.” The issue occurs because the selected shape does not have any available servers in the selected region and Availability Domain (AD). Virtual Machines (VM) are dynamically provisioned. If an AD reaches a minimum threshold, then new hypervisors (physical servers) are automatically provisioned. There may be some occasions where the additional capacity has not finished provisioning before the existing capacity is exhausted; but when retried after 15 minutes, the required shape may become available. Alternatively, selecting a different shape, AD, or region will almost certainly have the required capacity. We can try new region and it will be successful. If you like please follow and comment

Oracle EBS Lift and Shift from On-Premises to Oracle Cloud OCI using EBS Cloud Manager-Part 1 (Backup Module)

Oracle EBS Lift and Shift from On-Premises to Oracle Cloud OCI using EBS Cloud Manager-Part 1 (Backup Module) Hello Everyone, In this post I am going to share how can we use EBS cloud Manager to do Lift and Shift from on-premises server to OCI based on my experience. I am using my system on Virtual Box and taking it to OCI. I will be using the public connectivity, but you can use dedicated IPSec tunnels for data transfer. On-Prem Server: Apps Version:12.2.10 DB Version 19c Multi tenant DB Name: BEE Host Name: funebs122.lab Application and Database on same server The on-premises servers must meet the following prerequisites: NTP service configured on the on-premises application and database servers from which the backup will be taken. wget library installed on the on-premises server where you plan to run the Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Backup Module. Latest Database Patch and Application Patches applied on the on-premises servers. The networking team might need to allow a Swift URI or...

How to Deploy Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager for Demo and Test Purposes on OCI

How to Deploy Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager for Demo and Test Purposes on OCI In this post I am going to share how to Deploy the EBS Cloud Manager Demo. EBS Cloud manager helps in various things like provisioning, cloning, backup etc for EBS environments. This simplified procedure is most appropriate for demo purposes, as it has the following restrictions: The automation deploys a new VCN and subnets for Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager, load balancers, and the first set of Oracle E-Business Suite environments. The subnets are public regional subnets. The automation creates a new compartment for all the assets. An existing compartment cannot be used, and multiple compartments are not supported. Steps: 1) Make sure you have an Oracle Tenancy or Create a new Oracle Free Tier account. I am going to use my existing account. 2)  Set Up for Tenancies Using IAM without Identity Domains As the tenancy administrator, log in to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console. Open ...
